RCMP charge male and female after search, Ingonish, N.S.

RCMP arrested a man and woman for drug production and several firearms and weapon charges the evening of June 11th.

Ingonish RCMP executed a search Warrant at a residence in St.

Margarets Village. Police officers seized 3 shotguns, 3 rifles, a set of brass knuckles, marijuana plants and marijuana.

A 22-year-old male from St. Margaret’s Village is facing a charge under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act for Production of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Unsafe Storage of a Prohibited Weapon and twenty other firearm related charges.

A 19-year-old female also from the area faces a charge of Production of Marijuana and weapon related offences.

Both were released from police custody and will appear in Ingonish Provincial Court on September 11th, 2014.
