RCMP charge man after Break and Enter in Cole Harbour

 
May 24, 2012, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM)…. RCMP have arrested a man for Break and Enter in Cole Harbour.
 
On May 24th, at approximately 3:00 a.m. Halifax District RCMP officers responded to a call of a break and enter in progress on Poplar Drive.  One of the residents, who was sleeping, woke up to find several suspects attempting to steal a television at which time the suspects dropped the television causing it to be damaged. 
 
A physical altercation took place with one of the suspects. Police arrived and arrested a 21-year-old man. 
 
Another resident of the house chased the other three suspects who were later tracked by a police dog and arrested without incident.  The three were released without charges.
 
The 21-year-old man is currently in police custody and is charged with several offences under the Criminal Code including Break and Enter, Mischief and Breach of Probation. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on May 24, 2011.
