RCMP charge man for driving with blood alcohol three times over the​ legal limit

Last night at 11:30 p.m. Halifax District RCMP received a report of a vehicle all over the road on Hammonds Plains Rd. from a concerned motorist.​Members were able to locate the suspect vehicle in a driveway of a residence in Hammonds Plains.​

The witness was able to provide detail about the vehicle and its location. Police responded to the area immediately and located the suspect vehicle.

The driver was arrested without incident and taken to the nearest detachment for a breath test. His blood alcohol was three times over​ the legal limit. The​ 39-year-old driver, from Hammonds Plains, is facing charges of Operating a Conveyance While Impaired and Operating a Conveyance With a Blood Alcohol Concentration Equal to or Exceeding​ 80​ mg%.​ He is scheduled to appear in​ Halifax Provincial Court on September 24, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
