RCMP charge man for drug trafficking in Yarmouth.

On Monday, at approximately 5:40 p.m., Yarmouth RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Brunswick Street. Police arrested a man and seized marijuana, hydromorphone and an undisclosed sum of money in the vehicle.

Members of the RCMP Street Crime Unit (SCEU) and Yarmouth RCMP executed a warrant at a residence in Yarmouth County where they seized additional marijuana.

The 39-year-old male from Yarmouth faces charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act, including Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Hydromorphone. He was released from custody and will be appearing in Yarmouth Provincial Court on December 3rd, 2013 for plea.
