RCMP Provincial Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a 50-year-old River Hebert man with child pornography offences following a six month investigation.

On March 2, 2016, the Provincial ICE unit, with assistance from Cumberland District RCMP and the RCMP Technological Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a River Hebert home. Joseph William O’Brien was arrested without incident and charged with Accessing and Possessing Child Pornography.

He was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on July 11, 2016.
