RCMP charges pair with trafficking, Chester Basin, N.S.

As a result of an investigation, Lunenburg County RCMP charged two men after a vehicle was stopped on Highway 3. At approximately 10:15 p.m. on June 23, 2015, RCMP in Chester stopped a motor vehicle in the Chester Basin area.

As a result of an investigation, Lunenburg County RCMP charged two men after a vehicle was stopped on Highway 3.

At approximately 10:15 p.m. on June 23, 2015, RCMP in Chester stopped a motor vehicle in the Chester Basin area.

As a result of the stop, RCMP seized a quantity of cocaine from the vehicle. Five individuals were arrested and taken to Chester Detachment. One man and two women, aged 18, were released from custody without charges.

Kelsey Joseph Meister, 25, of New Ross is facing a charge of Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. Mitchell Duncan Walker, 19, of New Ross, is also facing a charge of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. Both were also released and will appear in Bridgewater Provincial court on July 29, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. The investigation is continuing.
