RCMP charges two men for break and enter, Hantsport, N.S.

East Hants District RCMP has charged two men in relation to a break and enter into the Hantsport Public Works building.

On Wednesday July 8 in the morning, RCMP was dispatched to a report of a break, enter and theft that occurred overnight.

The investigation determined that the suspects entered the building and stole several hand tools, generator and power tools such as chain saws and chop saws. Subsequent investigation identified two suspects, a 20-year-old man from Hants Border and a 30-year-old man from West Brooklyn. Both were arrested on Thursday in Windsor without incident. During the investigation, RCMP was able to recover some of the stolen property (generator) however there is still a number of power tools missing. RCMP believes these items may have been sold in the Hantsport area.

The men, who were released from custody, are facing charges of Break, Enter and Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime. They are due back in court on August 25, 2015.
