RCMP and Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (TIR) are advising of a highway closure as a result of a single-vehicle collision.

At approximately 8:20 a.m. this morning, Cumberland County RCMP, Springhill and Southampton Fire departments, and Emergency Health Services (EHS) responded to a crash involving a tractor trailer that tipped over.

The vehicle is blocking most of the road and traffic is being rerouted. The lone occupant of the truck suffered minor injuries and later attended hospital.

Vehicle Compliance is on scene assisting with traffic control. TIR expect the highway to be shut down for most of the afternoon.
