RCMP/HRP Integrated Traffic Services, Provincial Vehicle Compliance, Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Metro Traffic Services are conducting check points today to ensure compliance with T-400 HRM By-Law.

The three check points, conducted between 10 a.m.

and 1 p.m. today, are going to be set up on Hammonds Plains Road at the intersection of Northwood, on Lucasville Rd at the 200 Block and on Hammonds Plains Rd by Voyageur Way.

Police are reminding truck drivers who operate vehicles over 3000 kg (Registered Weight) that the By-Law prohibits trucks from entering these areas unless making a local delivery. Vehicles entering these areas today will be asked to turn around. Police are advising this By-Law will be enforced in the very near future.
