RCMP currently on scene of motor vehicle collision, West Pubnico, N.S.

RCMP are currently on scene of a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

At 12:30 p.m. RCMP were conducting a speed enforcement check-point on route 335 in West Pubnico.

A motorcycle approached the checkpoint at a high rate of speed and was motioned by the officers to pull over. The driver of the motorcycle refused to stop and fled faster down the road. A short time later, officers came upon a collision involving the motorcycle and a car it had collided with.

The adult male driver of the motorcycle was transported to Yarmouth Regional Hospital with unknown injuries. The female driver and female passenger in the car were also transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Route 335 is closed at this time while an RCMP collision analyst assists with the investigation. Motorists are advised to avoid this area at this time.
