RCMP dismantle a marijuana grow in Shelburne County.

Yesterday, at 5:00 p.m., Shelburne RCMP attended a residence located on Birchtown Road in relation to a routine police matter.

The officer made observations indicative of an indoor marijuana grow operation.

The Shelburne County Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) assisted while a search warrant was obtained for the residence. A grow operation was subsequently located, dismantled and seventeen (17) marijuana plants were seized.

A 46-year-old male resident was arrested without incident and later released. He is scheduled to appear in Shelburne Provincial Court on December 4th, 2013 facing a charge of Production of Marijuana.
