RCMP focus on speeding and aggressive driving

As a part of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s vision to improve road safety, members of Traffic Services target education and enforcement efforts on a different theme each month.

This month, Halifax District Metro Traffic Services will focus on speeding and aggressive driving. This will include stunting, racing and speeding in all areas including construction and school zones.

Last month, members of the Metro Traffic Services section issued over 400 Summary Offence Tickets for speed-related offences.

The RCMP would like to remind motorists to be mindful of the dangers of excessive speed and anyone who witnesses dangerous driving behaviors is encouraged to contact police.
