RCMP hosts bullying and cyberbullying online session on Pink Shirt Day, Meteghan, N.S.

Grade eight students from École Secondaire de Clare in Meteghan, will be among the students participating in tomorrow’s RCMPTalks session on bullying and cyberbullying.

RCMPTalks is a live, interactive video conference hosted by the RCMP’s Centre for Youth Crime Prevention (CYCP) that engages students from six different Canadian classrooms in a discussion via social media.

Special guest Nico Archambault, winner of season one of So You Think You Can Dance Canada, will share his experiences of being bullied at school and then respond to questions from participating students. In honour of Pink Shirt Day, a day that promotes anti-bullying, the students will wear pink teeshirts to symbolize that bullying behaviour will no longer be tolerated.

The RCMPTalks session takes place Wednesday, February 26th from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. AST, anyone interested in tuning in can visit encounters.tigweb.org/events to stream the conference live.
