RCMP identify man, woman killed in Highway 104 collision

From RCMP:

August 24, 2010, Pictou County, Nova Scotia…. Following the notification of the family, RCMP have identified Linda Joan Harley, age 55, of Caledonia, Ontario and Galen Thomas MacDonald, age 21, of Jimtown, Antigonish County, Nova Scotia as the individuals killed yesterday in a motor vehicle collision on Highway 104.

Yesterday morning RCMP received a 911 call of a three-vehicle collision near marker 186 on Highway 104.  Preliminary investigation revealed a Toyota Corolla, driven by MacDonald, was traveling eastbound and crashed head-on with a westbound transport truck. The three-wheeled motorcycle was traveling behind the transport truck and lost control as a result of the collision between the car and the transport truck. Harley was the passenger on the motorcycle.
The car passenger and the male driver of the motorcycle remain in hospital in serious condition.  The driver of the transport truck received non-life threatening injuries.  The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of this collision.
