At approximately 11:50 a.m. today, officers from Halifax District RCMP responded to a robbery at Scotiabank on Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. A preliminary investigation has revealed that a lone man entered the business and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Police officers combed the area but were not able to locate the suspect. No one was injured during this incident.
The suspect is described as a middle aged man, wearing a dark coloured toque, beige overalls, a hoodie, and gloves.
The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is leading the investigation, which is ongoing. Investigators are asking anyone who may have information on this crime to contact the Halifax District RCMP or Halifax Regional Police immediately at(902) 490-5020.
