RCMP investigate bike collision

May 3, 2013, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . RCMP are investigating a motor vehicle collision involving a bicyclist.
 
Yesterday, 4:30 p.m., Tantallon RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision in Timberlea.  A 12-year-old boy had been riding his bicycle and was hit by a car at the intersection of Charles Road and Fraser Road.  The boy, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was taken to the IWK with undetermined but serious injuries.  He remains in the hospital at this time.  The 16-year-old female driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries. 
 
The collision is still under investigation.
