RCMP investigate daytime break in and theft of truck, Lower Sackville, N.S.

On March 7th, 2015 Halifax District RCMP responded to a call of break and enter into a private residence on Sackville Dr. where a number of items were stolen including a Ford F150 truck.

Shortly after receiving the call of the break and enter and stolen vehicle, a truck matching the description was observed travelling on Beaver Bank Rd and a traffic stop was initiated. The vehicle initially pulled over and as the police officer was approaching the vehicle on foot, the driver of the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. No pursuit initiated.

Patrols of the immediate area resulted in locating the Ford F150 truck, abandoned, in the area of Milo and Susan Dr.

RCMP Forensic Identification Services is currently on scene conducting an examination of the residence. The truck and contents have been seized for examination.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a white male with short brown hair.

Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if Police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a reward.
