RCMP investigate explosion in Stewiacke, Stewiacke, N.S.

Colchester County RCMP are investigating an explosion in the downtown core of Stewiacke.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., RCMP and fire crews from multiple jurisdictions responded to a fire at BJ Electric Motor and Control Ltd.

on George Street.
The cause of the explosion has not been determined and no one was injured in the blaze.

Fire and police investigators are still on scene and George Street is blocked to traffic for an undetermined period of time. The investigation is continuing.
