RCMP investigate fatal collision – Gold River

At 5:16 p.m. on Saturday evening, Lunenburg District RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 103 in Gold River.

A 2018 Honda Ridgeline left the highway and travelled down an embankment. The driver, a 77-year-old man of Lunenburg County, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The passenger, a 79-year-old woman of Lunenburg County, was transported by EHS to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene and traffic was reduced to one lane for a period of time. The investigation is continuing.
