RCMP release name of fire victim.
James Bamwoya, 67, died as a result of his injuries from a fire in his residence. His death is not believed to be suspicious.
This morning, approximately 6:36 a.m., RCMP and Halifax Regional Fire Services responded to a structure fire on Nestor Crescent. Halifax Fire Services removed a man from the residence but he died at the scene.

The cause of the fire matter remains under investigation by fire officials. It is not believed to be suspicious.
