RCMP investigate fatal motorcycle crash

RCMP release:

Guysborough County District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Lincolnville.

On October 3rd, at approximately 2:35 p.m., Guysborough County District RCMP, fire services, and EHS, responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on Hwy. 16, near Lincolnville Loop. RCMP officers learned that the vehicle was travelling on the highway when it left the roadway and struck a culvert. 

The rider, a 28-year-old Boylston man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

The highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
