Just before 6:00​ p.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a single-vehicle motorcycle collision on Cobequid Rd. in Lower Sackville.​ RCMP, EHS and fire personnel attended and the lone motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased.

A collision analyst was called to the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Cobequid Rd. between Lakeview Rd and Stonemount Dr. is currently closed and will remain closed for several hours.​ Traffic is being diverted to Stonemount Dr.
