RCMP Investigate Motor Vehicle Accidents, Make Impaired Driving Arrest – Shelburne

 RCMP in Shelburne is investigating an incident where a driver intentionally struck two other vehicles with his own vehicle Sunday in Shelburne.

On February 28, 2016, just before 5 p.m., Shelburne RCMP were alerted that a man was driving dangerously and had struck two other vehicles. A car and an SUV were damaged but no one was injured. Further investigation revealed that the man had struck the other vehicles intentionally.  A search of the man’s vehicle also found a small quantity of marihuana and drug paraphernalia

The 22-year-old driver, Timothy Jordan Stewart, of Shelburne County was arrested without incident and was released from custody later that evening.  He is charged with the following:
Assault with a Weapon
Uttering Threats
Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle
Possession of Marihuana
Dangerous Driving
He is scheduled to appear in Shelburne Provincial Court on April 27, 2016.  
 
The investigation is ongoing.
