RCMP investigate motor vehicle collision in Westphal. Yesterday at 3:41 p.m., Cole Harbour RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Bradorian Drive involving a female and a SUV.

Yesterday at 3:41 p.m., Cole Harbour RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Bradorian Drive involving a female and a SUV.

When police arrived, they found an injured female laying on the ground by a vehicle. People were helping the injured person by keeping her covered from the rain until EHS arrived. Further investigation revealed that a SUV had struck the female as it was passing a parked vehicle. The collision also took off both vehicles’ side mirrors. EHS transported the 17-year-old female to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The 17-year-old male driver of the SUV did stop after the collision.

The matter remains under investigation.
