RCMP Investigate Robbery – Cole Harbour

The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, Halifax District RCMP received a report of a robbery that occurred in the area of Ridding Rd. in Cole Harbour.  A male reported that he was approached by two other males in a white BMW while walking along the road.  The suspects demanded the victim’s phone but the victim refused. The victim fearing for his safety, turned over a ring before the suspects left the scene.

At 8:00 p.m. last night Halifax District RCMP located the white BMW and executed a traffic stop on Otago Dr. The two male occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody. A search of the vehicle located a handgun, ammunition and a quantity of marihuana and cocaine.

Kyle Brimicombe, 21 of Eastern Passage is charged with the following offences:

Careless use of a Firearm

Unsafe Storage of a Firearm

Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

Carrying a Concealed Weapon

Possession of a Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized

Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm in a Motor Vehicle

Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime

Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with ammunition

Fail to comply with conditions

Uttering Threats

Theft

Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

Raymond Francis, 20 of Eastern Passage is charged with the following offences:

Careless use of a Firearm

Unsafe Storage of a Firearm

Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

Carrying a Concealed Weapon

Possession of a Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized

Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm in a Motor Vehicle

Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime

Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with ammunition

Possession of a Firearm Contrary to a Prohibition Order

Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

Brimcombe and Francis will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court today in relation to these offenses. The investigation is ongoing.
