RCMP in Lunenburg County are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision.
On August 18th, 2014, at approximately 12:10 p.m. Lunenburg County RCMP responded to a complaint of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 10 in Cherryfield, at the intersection of Cherryfield Road and Highway 10.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 43-year-old female driver from Middleton was driving southbound on Highway 10 and hit a motor home that was being backed onto the highway from Cherryfield Road. The female driver, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was transported by EHS to Bridgewater Hospital and later transferred to a Halifax Hospital where she remains in critical condition. The driver of the motor home was not injured.
The matter remains under investigation by Lunenburg County RCMP and South Shore Traffic Services.
