Provincial: RCMP investigate sudden death onboard cruise ship

 

May 30, 2012, Sydney, Nova Scotia. . . The RCMP are currently investigating the sudden death of a passenger onboard a Holland America Cruise Ship.
RCMP were called to meet the ship this morning as it prepared to dock in Sydney after traveling overnight from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. RCMP determined a 82-year-old man from San Diego, California suffered a medical emergency early this morning and died a short time later.
       
The man’s body was removed from the ship and transported to Halifax for an autopsy. The investigation is continuing with the cooperation of the Captain and crew of the ship.
