RCMP investigate suspicious fire, Fall River, N.S.

RCMP are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a home on Ballentyne Way in Fall River.

On August 26th shortly after midnight, Lower Sackville RCMP responded to the fire, along with firefighters from Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) Station 45 in Fall River.

The fire destroyed a home under construction that had been framed with doors and windows but was unfinished inside. HRM Fire Investigators, who assisted with this investigation, have categorized this structure fire as arson.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact RCMP, Halifax Regional Police or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by their Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award from $50 – $2000.
