RCMP Investigate Suspicious Incident

Police are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred at Kingswood Elementary School.

At approximately 3:00 p.m. today, a student was offered a drive home by a man he did not know. The student declined the ride.

The man is described as white, in his late teens to early twenties with spiked up hair in the front, driving a newer two door black car.

RCMP would like to remind parents to speak to their children about not accepting drives from strangers.

This matter is under investigation. Police are interested in speaking with the driver to clarify his intent.

Anyone with information is asked to call Halifax District RCMP at 902-490-5020 or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or text TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award.
