RCMP are investigating a motor vehicle crash west of the Seal Island Bridge.
At 1:45 p.m., RCMP responded to a single motor vehicle crash on Highway 105 near the Seal Island Bridge.
A tractor trailer travelling eastward went out of control. It crashed through a guardrail and ended up on its side in the water. The female driver got out of the vehicle on her own. She was transported to hospital in Sydney with minor injuries.
Officials from the Department of the Environment and local fire services are on scene. Measures are in place to contain any fuel (diesel) leaking from the vehicle. The tractor trailer was not carrying any other dangerous goods
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
