RCMP investigates collision between speed boat and Sea-Doo

Queens District RCMP is investigating after a collision occurred between a speed boat and Sea-Doo last evening on Ponhook Lake in Greenfield.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that at approximately 7:50 p.m. last evening, a speed boat carrying four people was travelling on Ponhook Lake when it collided with a Sea-Doo. The driver of the boat, a 51-year-old man from Liverpool, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in Bridgewater and then to hospital in Halifax by LifeFlight. The remaining passengers of the boat, as well as the driver of the Sea-Doo, were not injured.

 

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
