RCMP investigates fatal collision

RCMP is investigating a fatal collision in East Port Medway.

At 7 p.m., Queens District RCMP responded to a head-on collision involving a pick-up truck and a cube van on Highway 331 near Exit 17.

The driver of the cube van, a 63-year-old man from Mill Village, and passenger, a 60-year-old man from Port Matoun, were transported to Queens County Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, a 35-year-old man from Liverpool, died at the scene.

An RCMP collision analyst is on scene and Highway 331 at Exit 17 is closed at this time. RCMP is asking motorists to take alternate routes while the investigation continues.
