July 16, 2020, Trenton, Nova Scotia… Shortly after 1:35 a.m. this morning, Pictou County RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Egypt Road, Hillside.
A preliminary investigation determined that a single vehicle left the roadway and overturned. One woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other occupants (male and female) were transported to hospital with unknown injuries.
Egypt Road is currently closed in both directions from Pictou Landing Road to the west and Old Glenfalloch Road to the east. An RCMP Collision Analyst is on scene and the road will be closed for several hours.
The collision remains under investigation.
