RCMP investigates fatal single vehicle collision

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a fatal single vehicle collision that happened this morning in Cow Bay.

Police responded to the collision at approximately​ 5​ a.m. at the intersection of Cow Bay Rd. and Bissett Rd.​ A car had left the road, entered the ditch and collided with a tree.

The driver and only occupant, a​ 39-year-old woman from Halifax was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency and EHS also responded. An RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
