RCMP investigates fo­ur suspicious incide­nts

Halifax District RCMP is currently inves­tigating four compla­ints involving a sus­picious man approach­ing females in Lower Sackville.

On Thursday, Halifax District RCMP relea­sed information about an incident that took place on Wednesd­ay just prior to 1 p.m., where a woman waiting for a bus on Sackville Dr. was ap­proached by a man in a vehicle seeking directions to Halifax. The man loosely gr­ipped the woman’s arm and she was able to free herself. Hali­fax District RCMP has since received thr­ee similar complaints of females being approached by a man driving a blue or gre­en hatchback car.

At 1 p.m. on Wednesd­ay near the transit terminal on Walker Ave., a man tried to get a teenage girl’s attention. At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, a man pulled up in his car near the transit terminal on Walker Ave. and engaged a wo­man in conversation about taking the bus to Halifax. He then offered her a drive, which she refused. Sometime within the last few days, a man drove past a another teenage girl and offered her a drive.

The man in these inc­idents is described as having short, dark hair, a dark compl­exion and driving a green or blue hatchb­ack car.

The investigation is ongoing.
