RCMP release:
Digby RCMP has charged a man with Sexual Assault following an incident in Digby.
On July 15, 2024, police officers with Digby RCMP received a complaint of sexual assault that had occurred at a private residence several days earlier. At approximately 7:15 p.m. on July 15, investigators safety arrested Nathaniel “Nate” Lewis, 23, of Digby.
Officers also executed a search warrant at a location in Digby to collect evidence related to the offence.
Lewis has been charged with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference. He had a first court appearance on July 16 at Digby Provincial Court, and was released by the courts on conditions pending future court appearances.
As this investigation involves a youth victim, the RCMP will not provide further details of the incident in order to protect the youth’s privacy.
