RCMP investigating fatal car crash

On December 16, at 8:54 a.m., Cumberland County District RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 321 in Rockley.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a Toyota Camry that had left the road, striking trees and a power pole. The driver and lone occupant of the Camry, a 42-year-old Port Philip woman, was found inside the vehicle and pronounced deceased by EHS.

Hwy. 321, between Hwy. 6 and Pugwash Road, was closed for several hours while a collision analyst attended and processed the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time.
