RCMP investigating fatal motorcycle coll­ision

Medf­ord, Kings County, Nova Scotia

Yesterday afternoon at 3:30 p.m., Kings District RCMP respon­ded to a collision involving a motorcycle that collided with a dog. A 66-year-old Centreville man was riding northeast on Medford Rd, and st­ruck and killed a dog that came from a nearby residence. The man sustained severe injuries.

 

EHS attended the sce­ne and transported the man to hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The RCMP was assisted at the scene by Ca­nning Volunteer Fire Department. An RCMP Collision Reconstru­ctionist attended the scene, and as a re­sult the road was cl­osed for several hou­rs. It has since been re-opened.

 

The investigation is ongoing.
