RCMP investigating fire at storage garage

Meteghan RCMP is investigating an arson after a structure fire occurred on Saulnierville Rd. in Saulnierville.

On November 15, 2022, at approximately 5:05 a.m., Meteghan RCMP and fire, responded to a report of a structure fire on Saulnierville Rd. in Saulnierville. RCMP officers learned that the fire had occurred in a storage garage located towards the rear of a home on the property. The fire was extinguished and the garage was heavily damaged, including the contents. RCMP officers have since determined that the fire was a result of arson. The scene was held throughout the day until the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s Office could attend to assist with the investigation. The scene has since been released.

The investigation is ongoing with assistance from RCMP Forensic Identification Services and the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s Office.
