Yarmouth Rural RCMP is investigating a hit and run that occurred on Hwy. 3 in Tusket.
On June 8, 2023, at approximately 5 p.m., Yarmouth Rural RCMP responded to a report of a hit and run on Hwy. 3 in Tusket. RCMP officers learned that a black car had been travelling on Frank Doucette Rd. when it failed to stop at a stop at the intersection of Frank Doucette Rd. and Hwy. 3. The black car struck the rear quarter-panel of a pickup truck, causing extensive damage to the truck. The black car then fled the scene.
The black car was driven by a woman and fled towards Hubbard’s Point. The car would have sustained damage to its front end. No license plate was obtained prior to the vehicle fleeing.
