Monday, October 4, 2010 Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S…. Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Halifax District responded to a weapons call on Ponderosa Dr., Lake Echo, NS on Saturday October 2, 2010.
At 1:25 AM, RCMP members were called to a residence on Ponderosa Dr. After speaking with witnesses, RCMP members were advised a male had pulled out a hand gun before leaving with three other people in a blue Saturn Ion. RCMP members located the vehicle a short time later on Highway 7 and Martin Lake Dr., Lake Echo, NS. All four occupants in the vehicle were arrested. A search of the vehicle turned up a hand gun.
Two 18 year-old females and a 21 year-old male will all be appearing in Provincial Court in Dartmouth at a later date to face a variety of weapons offences. One of the females also faces charges of Impaired Driving. A 19 year-old male was transported to the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility in Burnside. He will be appearing in Provincial Court in Dartmouth today for face a variety of weapons offences.
