RCMP investigating youth struck by car while in crosswalk

From RCMP:
December 14, 2010, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) .. Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police( RCMP), Halifax District are investigating an incident of a pedestrian struck by a car in Lower Sackville, N.S.
 
On December 13, 2010, 2:45 PM,  RCMP responded to a call that an eight-year-old boy was in a crosswalk when he was struck by a car at the corner of Glendale Drive and BeaverBank Road.  The boy was taken to the IWK with possible head injuries.  His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
 
The matter is still under investigation.
 
Police would like to remind both motorists and pedestrians to use caution when entering crosswalks.
