RCMP lay mischief charges after incident at restaurant drive-thru

Monday, October 18th, 2010, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM)… Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) responded to a complaint of a man smashing windows with a baseball bat at a fast food restaurant in Lower Sackville.

At 12:15 AM on October 17th, the man entered onto the restaurant property located at 517 Sackville Drive and started smashing the windows of a vehicle waiting in the drive-thru line.  Security staff and witnesses detained the man until police arrived.  He was showing signs of intoxication.  He was arrested by police.

The man is now facing Weapons, Breach of Probation, and Mischief charges. He will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to answer to those charges.
