RCMP lay several charges following a drug search, Lower Sackville, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) charged a man and woman with a number of offences following a search at a home in Lower Sackville on November 19th, 2014.

As part of their ongoing investigation into local drug activity, the Halifax District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) with the assistance of Patrol Officers from Lower Sackville RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in Lower Sackville. A quantity of marijuana, proceeds of crime and a prohibited weapon were seized.

A 32-year-old male and a 26-year-old female, both from Lower Sackville, were arrested at the scene. Both accused are currently being held in police custody awaiting bail hearings in Dartmouth Provincial Court later today. The man is facing charges of; Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Marijuana, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Obstruction and Breach of Undertaking. The woman is facing charges of; Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Marijuana, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Breach of Undertaking.
