Pictou District RCMP have laid sex-related charges against a Pictou County resident.

As a result of an 11-week investigation following a complaint received from Thorburn Consolidated School, officers with the RCMP General Investigation Section arrested a 37-year-old woman earlier today at her residence in Stellarton, without incident.

RCMP have charged Carolyn Amy Hood with one count of Sexual Assault, one count of Sexual Interference, two counts of Luring Minors Over the Internet for a Sexual Purpose and two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Young Person.
