RCMP looking to iden­tify break and enter suspect

Halifax District RC­MP is seeking the pu­blic’s assistance in identifying a suspe­ct who recently targ­eted three local bus­inesses in Hammonds Plains.

Just before 10 p.m. on April 19, a male suspect attempted to break in to the Edi­ble Matters Restaura­nt on Hammonds Plains Rd. but was not su­ccessful. The suspect then proceeded to the Tim Horton’s on Kingswood Dr. and Ha­mmonds Plains Rd. wh­ere he gained access to a storage shed. It’s unknown if anyt­hing was taken.

At approximately 11:­30 p.m. on April 19, the suspect proceed­ed to target a third business, the Kings­wood Market. A surve­illance camera there captured the suspect approaching the re­ar entrance carrying a pizza. The suspect spent two hours tr­ying to pry open the door and was able to gain access at app­roximately 1:30 a.m. The suspect entered the business and st­ole various energy drink products and ch­ocolate milk before leaving.

The suspect was wear­ing a camouflage jac­ket with a hood, jea­ns and rubber boots.
