RCMP are currently dealing with a barricaded person in Ellershouse, Hants County.
At approximately 7 a.m., Windsor District RCMP received a call that a 63-year-old man was threatening to harm himself.
When police tried to speak to the man in a residence on Colchester Row, he barricaded himself. The man who is alone in the residence has stated that he does not wish to harm police.
RCMP Emergency Response Team members are currently on scene and continue to assess the situation. Officers have contained the area around the residence and traffic is being diverted. The matter remains under investigation.
