RCMP on Scene of a Serious Vehicle / Pedestrian Collision – Halifax

Halifax District RCMP are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision which occurred inbound on Highway 102  near the Larry Uteck exit in Halifax.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. this evening Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.   The pedestrian, a  22-year-old male from southwestern Nova Scotia, suffered critical injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.  The 33-year-old male driver was transported to the hospital by EHS with minor injuries.

Collision Reconstructionists will be on scene for several hours, during which time inbound traffic on Highway 102  will be routed through a short detour.     Speed and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors.
