At 12:13 a.m. this morning the RCMP received a 911 call about a house on fire. Yarmouth District RCMP arrived at the scene of the house fire on Highway 3 in Pubnico Head.
RCMP remain on the scene and can confirm there are fatalities. The RCMP is in the preliminary stages of the investigation. No further details are being released until this afternoon when RCMP Media Relations Officer, Cpl. Jennifer Clarke will speak to media at 2 p.m., at the Yarmouth Rural RCMP Detachment located at 156 Starrs Rd., Yarmouth.
RCMP have secured the scene and have requested assistance with the investigation from the Nova Scotia Office of the Fire Marshal.
