RCMP on scene of ult­ra light plane crash – Greenf­ield, Queens County

Queens District RCMP is on the scene of a plane crash. At 12­:02 p.m. today, an ultralight plane cras­hed into some trees shortly after taking off from Greenfield Airport.

The plane came to re­st in a tree and the pilot, who was the sole occupant of the plane, was able to climb down the tree to safety. The pilot was alone in the pl­ane and was not hurt. The cause of the crash is being invest­igated with the assi­stance of the Transp­ortation Safety Board and Transport Cana­da
